Job Description
Carazoo, the leading Interactive Automotive Portal in India is seeking a solid business leader with experience and skills in business development and strategic planning to lead our business growth in the Indian market. In addition to our online automotive portal, Carazoo is the industry leader in providing online solutions to automotive dealers, OEMs and leasing companies. The Head of Business Development for Carazoo will be responsible for executing our online strategy and establishing close relationships with OEMs and other player in the automotive industry in India.

The professional will be responsible for the core essential functions:

  • P&L responsibility for Carazoo business including online revenue, dealer sales and OEM business
  • Hands on management of sales and business development for Carazoo’s business with agencies, OEMs and leasing companies
  • Revenue growth for Carazoo’s business units with personal business goals
  • Provide leadership in pursuing areas of new opportunity including new products, services, business models, partnerships, and/or acquisitions for the automotive OEM market
  • Provide oversight and management for Carazoo's business development activities in the automotive OEM business segment
  • Manage client relationships and ensure smooth operational handover to delivery head
  • Manage direct national sales team and ensure revenue goals are met by each sales person
  • Represent Carazoo at industry forums and seminars

Desired Skills & Experience

Qualified candidates for this position will possess the following education, experience, and skills
  • Bachelor's Degree in a technical or a business field
  • Masters of Business Administration (MBA) degree or training and/or experience relevant to the essential functions of this job description * Solid academic record
  • Must possess a minimum of 10 years experience developing new business opportunities in the Indian auto OEM/ Advertising Agencies market with a proven track record of success
  • Solid financial acumen and effective business negotiation skills relevant to Carazoo’s business needs
  • Excellent problem solver with strong analytical skills and impeccable business judgment and decision making abilities
  • Intimate knowledge of the auto OEM industry including the key decision makers at each major OEM
  • Prior experience at leading Automotive OEMs is a plus
  • Experience working effectively with cross-functional teams within an organization including Legal, Finance, Engineering, Sales and Marketing
  • Strong knowledge and proficiency using core business software applications such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
  • Demonstrated strong and effective verbal and written communication and presentation skills
  • Excellent listening skills and the ability to relate to a highly technical management team
  • High level of initiative and energy and demonstrated ability to generate results
  • Strong entrepreneurial spirit and instinct for revenue-generating activities * Flexible and adaptable with an ability to envision strategic opportunities in a highly dynamic environment
  • Ability to travel extensively in the pursuit of opportunities both domestically and internationally
